PRINCIPALS ART WALL - SHOWCASING STUDENT MASTERPIECES
The Principal's Feature Artist Wall proudly exhibits the artwork of one student from each class, carefully chosen to be showcased in the Principal's office. With each term, the artwork is rotated, giving various students the opportunity to have their masterpieces beautifully framed and prominently displayed for all to appreciate. Congratulations to Theo, Elora, Eden, Ivy, Tessa, Jasmine and Archie. The beaming smiles on these students' faces reflected their immense pride in seeing their artwork celebrated and admired by others.
WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US FOR OUR TERM 4 P&F MEETING
We’d love to invite you to join us for the final P&F meeting of 2024! It’s happening on Tuesday, 5th November from 6:30 - 7:30pm at the South Dubbo Tavern. This is a great chance to be involved in our school community, and don’t worry - showing up won’t land you a job on the committee! It’s all about connecting, sharing ideas, and being part of something special for our school. Nibbles will be provided, and drinks are at your own cost. We’d love to see as many of you there as possible, so come along for a relaxed and friendly evening!
STAGE 3 CANBERRA EXCURSION
Our Stage 3 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable three-day excursion to Canberra, packed with learning and exploration. On the first day, we visited the Royal Australian Mint, watching Titan and the robots hard at work producing millions of coins, followed by a fascinating journey through Australia’s political history at the Museum of Australian Democracy. We concluded the day at the National Electoral Education Centre, where students learned about preferential voting and the significance of elections. Day two saw us exploring Parliament House, sitting in both the Senate and House of Representatives. At Questacon, students enjoyed hands-on science exhibits, sparking creativity and curiosity. We also delved into the story of Canberra’s development at the National Capital Authority and wrapped up the day surrounded by Australia’s unique ecosystems at the National Botanic Gardens. On our final day, we visited the Australian War Memorial, where we reflected at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Pool of Reflection, learning about the brave individuals who served in the world wars. Our trip ended on a high note at the Australian Institute of Sport, where students tested their skills in the interactive Sportex zone. A big thank you to Mr Long, Mr Inglis, Mrs Trimboli, Mrs Kim Dunn, Peter Hyde, and Jane Davis for accompanying the students and making this trip possible! It was a rewarding experience, and I couldn’t be prouder of our students’ enthusiasm and engagement throughout the entire excursion.

Gospel Focus
'You are not far from the kingdom of God'
In Mark 12:28-34, Jesus teaches us the two greatest commandments: to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. These are not just rules to follow, but a way of life. Jesus shows us that true faith is about relationship—our relationship with God and with one another. When we love God deeply, it flows naturally into how we treat others, with kindness, patience, and understanding. Let this be our guide in school and beyond: love in action, as Jesus has loved us.

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
As part of our ongoing commitment to Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) each class spends time reviewing and learning about the expectations in specific areas. The focus can be developed from feedback and data. This week our focus is the toilet area.
Being safe in the toilets means:
- We wash our hands using soap and water after using the toilets
- We keep the floor dry
- We have only one person per cubicle
- We leave our food outside
- Games are for the playground
Being responsible in the toilets means:
- We move away from the toilet area when we are not using them
- We use the toilets appropriately
- We flush the toilet after we have finished
- We turn taps off
- We wait for friends outside
- We return to class promptly
Being respectful in the toilets means:
- We respect other people’s privacy
- We clean up after ourselves
